For my FMP I decided to base my collection on Goth. After a lot of research I went with the popular American trend "Pastel Goth" to inspire my colour pallet. These are pictures that I took along the way:
I loved making my accessory, I chose to make a choker and earrings, keeping in theme with my crosses print pattern that I will use later on my dress. Studs, lace, chains, all of these are key aspects of Gothic fashion so I added them all together in a way that I thought was just subtle enough to compliment my dress.
These are half-way through drawing my illustrations, and a finished one. I wanted to opt for a more stylized look in this project, I think I did this quite well and I love the way they turned out.
Making my dress was really challenging, I've never made a leotard or a corset before so learning new techniques was super interesting. I'm really happy with how my dress turned out, there had to be a few changes along the way but to design something and then develop the skill to make it up is really rewarding.
